Our Mission at Faith in Action

The mission of Faith in Action of San Angelo is to create a caring community of volunteers who offer support services to frail/elderly and physically disabled adults enabling them to live independently and with dignity.

3.      Errands/Shopping Volunteers - Run errands and shop for groceries, medicines or other supplies needed by homebound older recipients.

4.      Friendly Visitor Volunteer - Provide companionship, support and a needed presence for older recipients.  May read mail and help with correspondence.

5.      Helping Hands Volunteer - Provide small or minor household maintenance or repairs.

A Neighbor's Independence

Depends On You

Della Reese has long been known as a singer, actress, performer and minister. She now joins Faith in Action as the national spokesperson - making it her personal mission to spread the word about the network of free, interfaith, community-based services. She also is committed to encouraging more people to volunteer to help their neighbors in need.

At a time when our need to reach out to each other is greatest, Faith in Action, an interfaith volunteer caregiving program of The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, stands ready to help. Americans of every faith - including Baha'i, Buddhists, Catholics, Hindus, Jews, Muslims, and Protestants - are invited to work together to improve the lives of their neighbors of all ages with long-term health needs through nearly 1,000 Faith in Action programs nationwide.
